By accessing or using Canada Tax Filing ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
The Service provides a guided tax preparation and filing platform for Canadian tax returns. It supports individual, self-employed, and company filing modes, with electronic submission to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) via authorized channels.
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information in your tax return
- Reviewing all calculations and data before submission
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- Complying with all applicable Canadian tax laws and regulations
- Retaining copies of your supporting documents as required by the CRA
4. Accuracy and Liability
While we strive for accuracy in tax calculations and form mappings, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. You remain solely responsible for the accuracy of your tax return as filed with the CRA. We are not a registered tax preparer or advisor, and the Service does not constitute professional tax advice.
5. Account and Data
You may create one account per person. Your tax return data is stored securely and retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may request export or deletion of your data at any time through your Account Settings, subject to legal retention requirements.
6. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Use the Service for fraudulent tax filings or misrepresentation
- Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to the Service
- Use the Service in violation of Canadian law
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these terms or engage in prohibited activities. You may close your account at any time through the data deletion request process.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes through the Service.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which the Service operator is located. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
